My father is one of the most spiritually influential men that I know. He has been through so much in his life including marriage issues, health issues, becoming paralyzed almost to the point of a vegetative state, to walking and moving about today; praise God! I can remember as a child watching him time after time prevail and grip onto God in such troubled times. I recall the long nights he would spend soaking up the Word of God and readying himself for the tasks ahead. I believe he truly is a man prepared, watching and diligent about Gods business in this world; mind you he has his minor downfalls, and we all do, but he is still someone who is truly a man after God. Luckily, I have the honor of calling him my father and mentor, and a good one at that! I thank God for putting him in my life because without him I would not be here today. Even today he receives phone calls from me asking to explain parts of the Scripture that I may not understand. But one thing he taught me is that if there ever were a time to get right with the Lord, it’s now! You see, not only does my father have the gift of wisdom, but also a watchman’s heart…he has a love for Gods prophetic Word relating to the end times and he certainly didn’t withhold information from me.
The Bible is full of prophecies in both the Old and New Testament; in fact there are anywhere between 2,000-10,000 prophecies within the Scriptures, depending on how many prophecies one may count in a single Scripture. You see, these Scriptures were not written hundreds of years ago, but thousands and yet, are coming to pass today. The neat thing about this is that we, people currently residing on planet earth, get to witness these prophecies coming true! For us reality seekers, well…what more evidence do you need? Nostradamus predictions don’t even come close to what the Bible has to offer.
The Scriptures speak of many events leading to the end times. In fact Jesus, the Apostle Paul, and many other various prophets have left clues as to when to expect these things to happen. Some of these signs include: wars and rumors of wars, famines and earthquakes in various places, increase in natural disasters (extreme weather—tsunamis, floods, hurricanes, fires, heat waves, snow storms), false prophets, perilous times, the gospel being preached throughout the world, godlessness, falling away from the faith, the increase of knowledge and travel, plans for a one world government, Israel becoming a nation, the return of Jews to Israel, redevelopment of the Roman Empire (European Community), the rise of Russia, plans for rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem, existence of a 200,000,000 man army (China), the return of one pure language to Israel (Hebrew), the technology for the mark of the best, etc. I don’t have to get into too much detail for someone to point out that all of these things are happening today. Many of which we can visually see going on around us.
There are many events pointing to the end of this age, however a very noticeable sign is the increase of knowledge and travel. What’s interesting about this is that prior to the 19th century, men could travel no faster than horseback and carriage, the speed of foot or boat. That means for the last six-thousand years or so, people have managed to maintain the same source of travel—until now. In a little over a hundred years we have gone from horse back to cars, planes, jets, trains, submarines, and even space travel. Not only has the invention of the computer and the internet enabled us to access information from billions of sources within the matter of seconds, but DNA research, advances in the medical field, nuclear weapons and unfortunately cloning have become a part of our lifestyles. All of which have transpired in a little over a hundred years, and yet from since the time man has existed there have been no major advances in technology or travel like we have observed in our days, nothing even comes close. This is astonishing to me! We are witnessing Biblical prophecy right before our eyes, just as predicted.
“But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.” Daniel 12:4
Life as we know it is constantly changing. Things need to be updated and revised on a daily basis. We are in the last days as predicted in the Bible, not the end of the world—which will not end—just the end of this age. I believe that if you are a true believer, someone who is about God’s business, then you will be raptured off this planet before the seven-year tribulation begins. (Rapture meaning the transportation by the radical hand of God, out of this earth and into the heavenly places). Each time God has poured His wrath out on people He has delivered the righteous. Two quick examples are Lot (Genesis 19) and Noah (Genesis 6). Nowhere in Scripture, when we find judgment proceeding directly from God, do we find the righteous being judged along with the wicked. Even Abraham challenged God’s fairness.
“Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” Genesis 18:25
Notice Abraham premises that if judgment came from God, it wouldn’t be fair to judge the righteous with the wicked. But either way, the time is at hand whether you are ready for it or not. Our economy is on the verge of collapse and as I write this to you, there are statements being made, warning of a financial collapse and a second depression worse than the first. If you have ever read a book on the end days you would have noticed that it is filled with pages upon pages of factual evidence of predictions already at hand, but the question you need to ask yourself today is, “Am I ready?”
“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.” Titus 2:11-13
We need to be living righteously, denying ungodliness and looking for the blessed return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today, I want you to ask yourself, am I ready for Christs return? If He was to come today, would I make the rapture? Hopefully the answer is yes, but if not please contact me, I’d love to pray with you and tell you how to receive our Savior.
And for those of you who know Jesus, lets continue living righteously and pray that we are counted worthy, for the time of our Lord is at hand…
“Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:36
